Questions before you buy

Is it thick like a regular blanket?

No. It's six layers of light cotton gauze, so it feels airy rather than plush. Use it alone in warm months, or over your duvet in winter.

Will it shrink?

Cotton can shrink a little in the wash. Wash cold on gentle and air dry to keep it closest to size. Sizes can also vary by up to 2 in (5 cm).

Will it snag on pets or jewelry?

It's an open cotton weave, so claws, rings and rough nails can catch it. Keep it away from sharp objects and wash it in a laundry bag.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping is free on every US order. Orders ship in 1–2 business days and most arrive in 7–11 business days. Every order is tracked. Read the shipping policy.

What if it's not right for me?

You have 30 days from delivery to return an unused item in its original packaging. Returns are free for any reason — we cover return shipping and nothing is deducted from your refund. Faulty, damaged or wrong items can also be replaced. Read the full return policy.

In plain words

A cotton muslin throw blanket for adults, made of six layers of 100% cotton gauze with a soft crinkle. This cotton muslin blanket is an airy layer for warm nights, or for spreading over a duvet in winter.

Choose 51 × 59 in for the couch, 59 × 79 in for a twin, or 79 × 91 in (200 × 230 cm) to cover the top of a full or queen. It is a light layer, not a heavy winter blanket. New gauze can feel a little crisp, so wash it once before use.

Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 11 reviews.

Light, soft, and it drapes beautifully over the couch. Exactly the in-between layer I was after.

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

Love that it's actual cotton and breathes. The lived-in crinkle look grew on me fast, feels relaxed.

Tanya C. 5/5 Verified

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

Perfect for hot sleepers. Covers you without that sweaty, trapped-heat feeling I get from thicker blankets.

Jesse A. 5/5 Verified

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

Washed it cold on gentle and it came out perfect, even softer. The soft crinkle really is part of its charm.

Omar T. 5/5 Verified

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

The cotton feels nice and it breathes well, I'll say that much. But mine arrived really wrinkled and crinkled and I couldn't get it to lie smooth no matter what I tried. Apparently that's the intended look, but on my bed it just reads messy to me.

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

Great middle-ground blanket for anyone who overheats under fleece. Light but still warm enough on cool nights.

Andre K. 5/5 Verified

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

The crinkly texture is lovely and it got even softer after the first wash. Real cotton all the way through.

Priscilla M. 5/5 Verified

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

It's nice and breathable, I'll give it that. I just expected it to feel a little more substantial. It's on the thin, airy side, which is the whole point I guess, but it wasn't quite the cozy blanket I pictured.

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

The gauze layers are so airy. I use it on top of the sheets in summer and it's just right, never traps heat.

Hugo B. 5/5 Verified

Calena Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket

Fleece always makes me sweat so this muslin is perfect. Breathable but it still feels like a real blanket over you, not a sheet.
