Why Calena
Why train with Cadence
Effort you can see
A chest-worn sensor streams your heart rate straight into your training app, so you can pace by zones instead of guessing how hard you are working.
It speaks to your apps
Dual Bluetooth 5.0 and ANT+ connect it to Strava, Peloton, Zwift, Wahoo, Apple Health and more, with two Bluetooth links at once for your phone and bike computer together.
Charge it and forget the coin cell
A built-in rechargeable battery runs up to 50 hours and tops up in about 1.5 hours, so there is no watch battery to pry out mid-training block.
Made for
For the days your wrist keeps guessing
You want to train by effort, not by a number that jumps when you grip the bars or push the pace. Cadence sits where the signal is steadiest and sends it to the apps you already open every session.
- For the cyclist whose watch drops out the moment hands lock onto the handlebars
- For the Peloton and Zwift rider who wants effort feeding the leaderboard in real time
- For the runner building zones who is tired of readings that flatline early in a session
The ritual
How it fits your session
-
01
Damp, then on
Wet the contact strip or wear it a touch damp, settle the band just below the chest, and snug it so it stays put without pinching.
-
02
Pair once, ride
Open your training app, connect over Bluetooth or ANT+, and let your effort flow in while you warm up and find your zones.
-
03
Rinse and recharge
Rinse the strap after a sweaty session and top up the battery when it runs low, so it is ready the next time you are.
Questions
Good to know
Which apps and devices does it work with?
It broadcasts over both Bluetooth 5.0 and ANT+, so it pairs with training apps and equipment like Strava, Peloton, Zwift, Wahoo, Polar Beat and Apple Health, plus bike computers and smart gym machines. Two Bluetooth connections at once means your phone and bike computer can both read it.
How do I stop it dropping out at the start of a workout?
Most early dropouts come from dry contact. Wear the strap a little damp or wet the contact strip before you begin, and keep the band snug against the skin. Good contact from the first minute is the single biggest fix.
Do I have to keep buying batteries?
No. The battery is built in and rechargeable over the included cable, lasting up to 50 hours per charge and refilling in about 1.5 hours. There is no coin cell to replace.
Will it survive sweat and rain?
It is IP67 rated to handle heavy sweat and rain, and the strap is made to rinse clean after a session. It is not for swimming or submersion.
How does it fit, and is it comfortable under a sports bra?
The elastic band adjusts from 25 to 36 inches and the whole thing weighs about 43 grams, so it sits low and light. Position it just under the bust and adjust the tension until it stays without digging in; a snug, even fit keeps both comfort and the signal steady.
